What are you currently studying in school?
Tomorrow is Friday and you just realized you have a quiz in geometry. You learned the material in school a week ago,
but you’re still having trouble. What are you going to do? Welcome to Smart Tutor. We have all the tools necessary to help you
ace your quiz. Our syllabus has been designed so that a student can customize it to fit his/her own learning style and needs.
With Smart Tutor by your side success is just a click away.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how well do you study?
Smart Tutor keeps a detailed record of all your grades which you can view in easy-to-read reports.
The grades are divided into three different sections: topic score, section score, and overall score.
With each section arranged
accordingly, parents can conveniently access the report and say,
“This is where my child is excelling; this is where he/she needs help.” The combination of detail and convenience is unparalleled.
How well are you grasping the material? Are there any topics that need further clarification? How should you study them?
While reports provide a snapshot of the student’s progress, they are not the end, but rather the beginning of the student’s
learning cycle. Smart Tutor takes the next step with each student by implementing ideal study plans derived from report
analyses to ensure improvement. Extra attention is paid to sections of weaker performance as students are given more practice
problems focused on their specific weaknesses. Smart Tutor, coupled with the student’s motivation, is a recipe for success.
Quiz, quiz, quiz…
How well do you retain information? Two weeks ago you learned arithmetic sequences. Do you still remember?
We regularly give students online quizzes to keep the material fresh in their minds. To simulate a test-taking environment,
we quiz students on the past week or weeks’ material in a limited time setting. Nobody likes taking tests, but these quizzes won’t
be so tedious if we remember that they are meant to prepare the student for the actual test date.
Help me, SOS!
How do I solve this problem? What formula do I need? Why is B the answer and not C? Frustrated?
Often, as students progress through school the work becomes more difficult, and with parents
working full-time jobs,
students cannot just call mom or dad whenever they don’t understand a
question. As a result, parent involvement in the child’s
education diminishes.
For this reason, we encourage students to take advantage of the SOS Board and ask any questions
that
may arise while studying. Together, students and teachers alike, we can tackle any question
that comes up.
As an added incentive, we reward points to students who answer other students’ questions. Points, in turn, can be collected to
claim prizes. The old saying goes, “Giving is better than receiving.” By working together, hand-in-hand, the SOS community is
forging prospects for a greater learning environment.
Parental guidance is strongly recommended
While SOS takes pride in helping students, we cannot do it alone. There is no substitute for actual human interaction.
That’s why we ask parents to get involved in the process. We know that parents cannot do the homework for their children,
but even being beside the student as he/she studies makes a world of difference. It’s that same commitment that breeds a
generation of talent. We give parents access to answer sheets with a personal password, and encourage them to grade the
student’s work. By doing so parents actively express a vote of confidence and interest in their child’s growth. After the grading
is complete, SOS can handle the rest. Parents can rest assured that SOS is working around the clock to help the student in any
way possible. The sky is the limit.
Daily progress can be checked anywhere at anytime
SOS is an innovator of the online classroom.
An exciting new feature called Smart Online Diary helps students check up on their
daily progress.
Students can view past subjects taken, and the time and place taken. It may sound cumbersome,
but the innovative layout makes all of this information easy-to-read and understand.
The Smart Online Diary also provides a
personalized, suggested pace at which the student should
study the material.
Let’s say for argument’s sake that the student
falls behind the recommended pace ?
we immediately notify the parent by telephone and/or email. So the next time your child
says “I’m studying”? beware!
